I have been tagged by my beautiful, talented cousin Megan, and I am neither of those things. "7 interesting facts about myself" How about 7 not so interesting facts about myself.
1. The above picture is me, night before Cierra's wedding, without any makeup. I am not afraid to be without my face paint, but I may not look you in the eye.
2. Some of you may be surprised that my job starts at 6:00 A.M. This is particularly surprising since most of my blogging and commenting is done after 11:00 P.M.
3. I became a registered nurse for the simple reason, least amount of schooling for most amount of money in this area. Luckily, I love my job! My mom always wanted to be a nurse. She has the heart and soul of a true nurse and defines caregiver by her actions.
4. I wear a surgical cap all day long at work. I have naturally curly hair (looks like a bad perm curl, not the spiral curl like my daughters). When I take this surgical cap off my hair is scary and I often wear a hat, like the one in the picture. The point is I only wash my hair on Fridays and Sundays. Sick!!!
5. I gave birth to Blake one month before graduating from nursing school. I had him on a Saturday and returned to clinical on Tuesday. When the surgeon asked me to tell a little about me I said that I had a baby over the weekend. I don't know if anyone believed me. Thank goodness for moms. My mom took care of my babe while I was at school. When I am asked how long I have been a nurse, I point at Blake and say that long.
6. I have an extra sensitive sense of smell. When cleaning up any code brown situations I must...Put mentholatum up my nose, spray a surgical mask with air freshener, and keep a garbage can close by for my own retching. At work I am known as the Code Brown Queen. I have a glamorous life.
7. I feel like I was given a family I don't deserve. They aren't perfect but I am awed by their personalities, kindness, generosity, ambition, and self esteem. I tag anyone who would like to do this, it was kind of fun. I would like to specifically mention Nanette, Kristy, Connie, and Cierra.

I did not know that you had Blake and then went right back to school!! Ahh...I can relate a little bit. I had Izaac March 31 and school didnt get out until a week into May. And thank goodness for mothers is right! Without family I think that it may be impossible to get through school. And, for me, it seems like nursing is especially rigorous for an undergrad program... that is why we mothers feel the need to go to school the day we give birth, have the baby, and then as soon as our epidurals wear off we are walking out the door to class :)
Wow you are even more amazing than I thought! :) Yes we love visitors so you empty nesters need to get over here to Singapore! We would absolutely love some good ol' Idaho company! And the "numb nuts" is that something that I said??? I sorta recall making a fool of myself... but I'm not sure. Can't wait to see pics of Cierra's wedding! I wish I could have been there!
I love ya Lori!!I take it Code Brown is something really gross and I'm glad I don't know what it is! BTW you look AMAZING without your face paint! YOu always look amazing! You're a go getter having Blake and then jumping right back into the world! You ROCK! lori you are GORGEOUS without makeup. does rachael lie? nope (well sometimes, but not to you :) !) anyways, i still remember the story of you giving someone some sort of plastic surgery and you cut the stomach and placed the thick layer of fat and skin on the table. i still have a visual in my head! i also remember something about zit popping, but we won't got here on your blog!!! :)
You know Lori...you look amazing with and without makeup. I've always thought that. I have only seen you without a few times at work and then you quickly put it on:)
Lori you are beautiful! i can't believe you said that. and i can't believe you wash your hair twice a week! totally wouldn't have guessed that about you. haha :)
Congrats!!! Gma and Gpa. We are so excited but I can't believe my sis is going to be a Gma. I know you will be a great Gma. because you are the best mom and aunt!!! And Gma LOLO sounds sooo cute. love you and miss you.
We all remember your super-sensitive sense of smell (nice alliteration, huh?). Your nauseous nose kept us from many great bags of Bravos. Perhaps the chip odor is why they discontinued distribution.
