I am going to try and keep everyone updated about Blake's mission. For anyone who doesn't know, Blake was called to the France Paris mission. He entered the MTC on April 22, 2009. I don't think the MTC experience can be summed up in one word. But if I, personally, were going to choose a word it would be "Painful". I will never forget the look on his handsome face as I hugged him before leaving. I will never forget watching the tears stream down Cierra and Shyenne's faces. What can I say about John? Blake has worked by his side since he was 2. John is truly missing his best friend. The only thing more bleak than the actual separation is the long drive home. I spent the majority of time trying to swallow the lump in my throat. After we returned home I spent the next hour laying on his bed looking around his room. I am proud of the choice Blake has made, I just miss my little boy! One week down 103 to go!

I am so proud of Blake and his choice to serve the Lord. He has two of the best parents who have always taught their children the importance of the church and family. I have also learned a lot from you and John. I was hoping Riley could (shadow) pal around with Shy. I love you guys and miss you tons!!!!!
Sweet post about your son, I think I want to kill my son right now, so sending him on a mission would be a thrill. Coming to Idaho when Mom has her knee replaced, hope to see you.
He will do so great, and before you know it, he'll be back! Just think...you get to go to Paris to pick him up! So cool!
Lori, this made me all teary... I was proud and I was so sad for you too! Especially for John. I can't imagine the emotions that you feel you are proud one second then you just want your boy back. I can't imagine. i love that you put up his email! That's awesome! We enjoyed reading it! Hang in there! LOL only 103 weeks left! That's not SO long!!! :) love ya!
